A Day Trip From London
I love this time of the year, just before the clocks go back β°, when the leaves are starting to fall off the trees π πand, if you are lucky, the mornings are full of bright sunshine βοΈ. I really like wrapping up warm π and stepping outside into the brisk cold air βοΈ, and enjoying the sun βΊοΈ.Last weekend we decided to escape London π‘ and took a day trip to Sussex π³. It was really very easy, we hopped on a train π at Clapham Junction with our bicycles π²π², and got off at Lewes. We cycled via Glynde (there were a few steep hills! π»), and made out way to Charleston Farmhouse π‘. The garden π·at Charleston is looking spectacular right now, the dahlias πΊπΉπ» are out, and it is the perfect time of year for a wander - I have written about the garden here. This time we also had a quick look around the house π , far smaller than I had imagined π§, with lots of exciting artworks π¨, and we learnt a bit more about the very intriguing Bloomsbury group. We then cycled π²π²back to Lewes via the main road (there is a cycle path, although it cuts off abruptly just before reaching Lewes, we were slightly perturbed π³). And the a train π π€ ride back to London. It was a super day π, and very sunny π, and it was really quite excellent to be in the countryside πΊπΏπ³.Alice xxxI am wearing hush Dolman Sloppy Joe, hush Leggings and Reebok Trainers.
