Offshoot
1. a shoot or branch growing from the main stem of a plant
2. something that develops or derives from a principal source or origin
Instead of waxing lyrical about the madness of wokeness, discussing whether covid social anxiety is a real thing or complaining that summer still isn’t here, I thought I would bring you, once a week, some things that are keeping me cheered.
So here is the first of my weekly offshoots, offshoots from my original blog, things I am enjoying, things I am consuming, things I like, things I would like. Some plant based, some not, all positive.
Alice 💕
👶🏻🍊 If you have a baby, you don’t need this blanket, but it is oh so beautifully juicy Clementine Kids.
📱💃🏻 Leandra Medine Cohen is a wonderful mad genius, or she is just having a very public breakdown. Whichever is the case, she has very cute children and totally mad outfits, take a look at her insta.
🍫🍰 Because I love chocolate more than almost anything else, and having made some epic failures of chocolate cakes recently, I finally made a great one, it’s so good, so chocolately, it has so much chocolate in it, and a tiny tiny bit of coffee and it’s properly dense in a very good way. Thank you Felicity Cloake.
✏️💌 Papier, yes always to notecards and writing paper, I can’t help myself, these ones are designed by Matilda Goad.
🛋🍃 William Morris pattern, it’s so cliche, it’s everywhere, it’s even in John Lewis, I can’t help it, I want it.
🏡🕯TAT London, I just love everything on this Instagram account and newsletter, I want to keep scrolling, and looking and spying at interiors and beautiful fun things that are perfect in their imperfections.
👟✔️They’re practical, they’re in vogue, and apparently they are sort of sustainable. I don’t really believe you Nike, (about the sustainability) but they are very cool sneakers.
⏳💙 This is still top of my wish list, isn’t it absolutely beautiful. Just look closer, at the scribed lines, just so incredible that it is hand-blown by Michael Ruh. And that colour.
🌳💗 The incredible tree Toona sinensis ‘Flamingo’, which you can find at RHS Wisley. The leaves are actually pink, it’s fantastical.
🎤🎶 Because we all need to listen to more Frank, always.
